The Magoffin County Hornets football squad scored 18 points and limited the visiting West Carter Comets to 13 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winfield for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 19. Magoffin County will face a Generals team coming off a 42-6 league win over South Charleston (South Charleston, WV). The Generals record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, West Carter drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Comets travel to East Carter (Grayson, KY) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 3-1. East Carter won 43-35 in their recent non-league test against Greenup County (Greenup, KY)
