The Mayfield Cardinals walloped the visiting McCracken County Mustangs football team by a score of 39-3 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Crittenden County Rockets (Marion, KY) in a 2A District 1 challenge, on Friday, September 19. Mayfield will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Rockets go into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 21-14 non-league win over Union City (Union City, TN).

The Mustangs (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Union County (Morganfield, KY). The Braves come into the non-league test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Union County was overwhelmed by Graves County (Mayfield, KY), 19-15, in a non-league test.
