    • North Carolina High School Football - Monroe thwarted by Sun Valley

    September 12, 2025: Monroe, NC 28110

    Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), 28-7 in a non-league battle.

    With the win, Sun Valley improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Weddington (Matthews, NC) to meet the Warriors in a Southern Carolina 6A/7A match on Friday, September 26. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 3-1.

    In their next game, the Redhawks play the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 26. Monroe will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record.
