    The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Silsbee Tigers (Silsbee, TX) and the visiting Nederland Bulldogs (Nederland, TX), witnessed Silsbee's football squad knock off Nederland by a tally of 27-13.

    The Tigers (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against West Brook (Beaumont, TX). The Bruins enter the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, West Brook beat MacArthur (Houston, TX), 49-14, in a non-league bout.

    The Bulldogs now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Splendora for a 5A-2 Region II District 8 bout on Friday, September 26. Nederland will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 56-14 non-league loss to Hargrave (Huffman, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-1.
