The West Hancock Eagles ran past the host Newman Catholic Knights football squad by a count of 44-20 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles now hold a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host BCLUW for a A District 2 test on Friday, September 19. West Hancock will meet a Comets squad coming off a 50-0 league win over Lake Mills (Lake Mills, IA). The Comets record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Newman Catholic moves to 0-2 on the season. The Knights travel to St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA) to face the Saints in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Saints come into the test with a record of 2-1. St. Ansgar won 42-8 in their recent league test against South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA)
