Illinois High School Football - Southwestern thwarted by North Mac

North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), 49-34 in a league battle.

With the win, North Mac advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Panthers host Litchfield/Mt. Olive (Litchfield, IL) to play the in a South Central battle on Friday, September 19. The go into the battle with a record of 0-3. Litchfield/Mt. Olive lost 59-24 in their recent league battle against Staunton/Bunker Hill (Staunton, IL)

The Piasa Birds now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Vandalia for a South Central battle on Friday, September 19. Southwestern will play a Vandals team coming off a 40-26 league win over Pana (Pana, IL). The Vandals record now stands at 3-0.
