California High School Football - Oakmont tops River Valley

The Oakmont Vikings football squad scored 40 points and limited the host River Valley Falcons to 12 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Colfax for a Pioneer Valley League test on Friday, September 19. Oakmont will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 55-42 non-league loss to Argonaut (Jackson, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, River Valley drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Yuba City (Yuba City, CA) to meet the Honkers in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 19. The Honkers enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Yuba City lost 20-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Chico (Chico, CA)
