The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs football squad scored 23 points and limited the visiting Williamsburg Raiders to 21 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pella Christian for a 2A Group 7 challenge on Friday, September 19. Prairie City-Monroe will play a Eagles team coming off a 57-21 non-league loss to Treynor (Treynor, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Williamsburg drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA) to meet the Saints in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Saints come into the test with a record of 3-0. Xavier won 54-21 in their recent non-league test against Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA)
