The Sayre Spartans were victorious over the visiting Williamsburg Yellow Jackets football team by a score of 41-16 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans face the Bracken County Polar Bears (Brooksville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 19. Sayre will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Polar Bears enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 41-13 non-league win over Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY).

With the defeat, Williamsburg drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Pineville (Pineville, KY) to clash with the Mountain Lions in a 1A District 7 outing on Friday, October 3. The Mountain Lions come into the outing with a record of 1-3.
