North Carolina High School Football - South Stokes nudges Surry Central

September 12, 2025: Walnut Cove, NC 27052

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) and the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC), witnessed South Stokes's football squad edge Surry Central by a tally of 18-16.

The Sauras (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against College Prep & Leadership Academy (Jamestown, NC). The Royals enter the Greater Triad 1A/2A contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, College Prep & Leadership Academy was nudged by Carver (Winston-Salem, NC), 44-0, in a non-league battle.

The Golden Eagles now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Trinity for a non-league match on Friday, September 19. Surry Central will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 37-6 non-league loss to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-4.
