Maine High School Football - Waterville crushed by Spruce Mountain

The Spruce Mountain Phoenix walloped the visiting Waterville Panthers football team by a score of 52-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Phoenix play the Yarmouth Clippers (Yarmouth, ME) in a 8-Man Large South (8 Man) test, on Friday, September 19. Spruce Mountain will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Clippers come into the test with a 1-1 record after their 64-38 league win over Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME).

With the defeat, Waterville drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME) to face the Trojans in a 8-Man Large North (8 Man) challenge on Friday, September 19. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Mount Desert Island lost 36-14 in their recent non-league outing against Lake Region (Naples, ME)
