Georgia High School Football - Thomson can't hold off Swainsboro

September 12, 2025: Swainsboro, GA 30401

Swainsboro Tigers (Swainsboro, GA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Thomson Bulldogs (Thomson, GA), 44-42 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Swainsboro advances its record to 5-0 on the season. The Tigers host Crisp County (Cordele, GA) to play the Cougars in a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. The Cougars go into the match with a record of 1-4. Crisp County won 66-38 in their recent non-league match against Dougherty (Albany, GA)

Coming up next, the Bulldogs confront the Laney Wildcats (Augusta, GA) in a AA Region 4 match, on Friday, September 26. Thomson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the match with a 4-1 record after their 38-0 non-league win over Greene County (Greensboro, GA).
