Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL) and the visiting Niles North Vikings (Skokie, IL), saw Stevenson's soccer squad hold off Niles North by a count of 3-2.

The Patriots (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL). The Titans enter the non-league battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, Glenbrook South tipped Mundelein (Mundelein, IL), 5-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Vikings battle the Deerfield Warriors (Deerfield, IL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 16. Niles North will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL).
