The San Marcos Knights football squad scored 29 points and limited the host Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders to 26 in the Knights non-league triumph on Friday.

The Knights now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host San Pasqual for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. San Marcos will meet a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 28-20 league win over Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Mater Dei Catholic drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Crusaders host St. Augustine (San Diego, CA) to meet the Saints in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Saints come into the test with a record of 1-2. St. Augustine won 41-0 in their recent non-league test against Brawley (Brawley, CA)
