The Cherokee Trail Cougars softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Chaparral Wolverines to 2 in the Cougars non-league win on Friday.

The Cougars now possess a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Arapahoe for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 13. Cherokee Trail will confront a Warriors team coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to Rock Canyon (Highlands Ranch, CO). The Warriors record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Chaparral moves to 1-4 on the season. The Wolverines host Mountain Vista (Highlands Ranch, CO) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league battle on Monday, September 15. The Golden Eagles come into the battle with a record of 4-4. Mountain Vista won 17-1 in their recent non-league battle against Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, CO)
