Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Monument Valley Cougars (Monument Valley, UT) and the visiting Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM), observed Monument Valley's volleyball team top Newcomb by a count of 3-0.

The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Monticello (Monticello, UT). The Buckaroo go into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record.

The Skyhawks now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Navajo Pine for a non-league battle on Monday, September 15. Newcomb will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Menaul (Albuquerque, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 1-2.
