Festus Tigers (Festus, MO) fans exited the stadium happy Friday as they observed their softball team get by the host Howell North Knights (St. Charles, MO), 8-7 in a non-league match.

The Tigers (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Union (Union, MO). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Union tipped St. James (St. James, MO), 15-0, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Knights play the St. Dominic Crusaders (O'Fallon, MO) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 12. Howell North will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Crusaders come into the match with a 5-4 record after their 8-5 non-league win over Cor Jesu Academy (St. Louis, MO).
