The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Lutheran Lions (Parker, CO) and the visiting Pueblo County Hornets (Pueblo, CO), observed Lutheran's softball team get by Pueblo County by a final score of 9-5.

The Lions (9-4) will now prepare for their bout against Discovery Canyon (Colorado Springs, CO). The Thunder go into the 4A Pikes Peak bout with a 4-8 record. In their last bout, Discovery Canyon was routed by Pueblo West (Pueblo West, CO), 11-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Castle View Sabercats (Castle Rock, CO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 13. Pueblo County will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Sabercats go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Cherokee Trail (Aurora, CO).
