Florida High School Volleyball - Southwest Merritt Island

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Merritt Island Mustangs (Merritt Island, FL) and the host Southwest Eagles (Miami, FL), observed Merritt Island's volleyball team top Southwest by a tally of 2-0.

The Mustangs (12-2) will now prepare for their contest against Barron Collier (Naples, FL). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Barron Collier was defeated by Gulf Coast (Naples, FL), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boone for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 13. Southwest will meet a Braves team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Osceola (Kissimmee, FL). The Braves record now stands at 5-4.
