In Friday's non-league challenge, the host St. George's Gryphons volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Rhea County Golden Eagles.
The Gryphons (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Baylor (Chattanooga, TN). The Red Raiders go into the non-league test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Baylor gained a win over Chattanooga Christian (Chattanooga, TN), 3-0, in a league test.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount Vernon for a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. Rhea County will face a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Denmark (Alpharetta, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-10.
