Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the West Warriors (Torrance, CA) and the visiting Warren Bears (Downey, CA), observed West's volleyball team hold off Warren by a count of 2-1.

The Warriors (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Gahr (Cerritos, CA). The Gladiators go into the non-league battle with a 11-6 record. In their last battle, Gahr tipped Lynwood (Lynwood, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Bears now own a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Villa Park for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Warren will meet a Spartans team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Brea Olinda (Brea, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-5.
