In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Kirtland Central Broncos soccer squad scored a close 3-1 win over the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers.
The Broncos (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM). The Elks/Elkettes go into the non-league battle with a 1-6 record. In their last battle, Pojoaque Valley by Miyamura (Gallup, NM), 5-0, in a non-league battle.
The Panthers (0-4) will now prepare for their battle against Alamosa (Alamosa, CO). The Mean Moose go into the 3A Southwest battle with a 0-7 record.
