In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Walton-Verona Bearcats soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Scott County Cardinals.
The Bearcats (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Louisville Collegiate (Louisville, KY). The Titans go into the non-league battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Louisville Collegiate nipped North Oldham (Goshen, KY), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The Cardinals (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Sayre (Lexington, KY). The Spartans go into the District 42 battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Sayre nipped Berea (Berea, KY), 6-2, in a non-league battle.
