The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA) and the visiting Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA), saw James River Midlothian's volleyball squad beat Freeman by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, James River Midlothian upgrades its record to 3-4 on the year. The Rapids travel to Midlothian (Midlothian, VA) to play the Trojans in a Dominion bout on Thursday, September 14. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Midlothian won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Manchester (Midlothian, VA)

The Mavericks now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Godwin for a Colonial bout on Tuesday, September 19. Freeman will play a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-8.
