Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting New Trier Trevians (Winnetka, IL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Hawks confront the Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 16. Maine South will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Bears enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Huntley (Huntley, IL).
The Trevians now possess a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Niles Notre Dame for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 14. New Trier will confront a Dons team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over St. Patrick (Chicago, IL). The Dons record now stands at 4-2.
