In Wednesday's non-league game, the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) football team knocked off the host Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA), by a score of 18-6.
The Blue Devils (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Spartans come into the non-league game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Giles toppled Narrows (Narrows, VA), 36-0, in a non-league game.
The Buffaloes now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to James River for a non-league game on Wednesday, September 20. Floyd County will battle a Knights team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Staunton (Staunton, VA). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.
