In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates soccer squad scored a close 7-0 triumph over the Central Academy Cougars.
The Pirates (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks come into the non-league battle with a 7-1 record.
The Cougars (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Piedmont nudged Monroe (Monroe, NC), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
