Knob Noster Panthers (Knob Noster, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hardin-Central Bulldogs (Hardin, MO), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Lafayette County for a Class 2 District 13 challenge on Thursday, September 14. Knob Noster will battle a Huskers squad coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to St. Michael the Archangel (Lee's Summit, MO). The Huskers record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Hardin-Central falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Glasgow (Glasgow, MO) to battle the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 21. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 5-2.
