The New London Whalers volleyball team (New London, CT), was dropped 3-0 in Wednesday's league challenge with the visiting Plainfield Panthers (Central Village, CT)

The Panthers (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Montville (Oakdale, CT). The Wolves enter the Eastern Connecticut - Small challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Montville defeated Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Whalers meet the Lyman Memorial Bulldogs (Lebanon, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut - Small challenge, on Saturday, September 16. New London will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Montville (Oakdale, CT).
