The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Abramson Commodores (New Orleans, LA) and the host Collegiate (Baton Rouge, LA), witnessed Abramson's football squad knock off Collegiate by a tally of 24-14.

The Commodores (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Varnado (Angie, LA). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Varnado was toppled by Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA), 46-8, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the battle the Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 20. Collegiate will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Griffins enter the contest with a 2-0 record after their 31-13 non-league win over Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA).
