Michigan High School Football - Avondale tops Lutheran North

September 13, 2024: Macomb, MI 48042

The Avondale Yellowjackets football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Lutheran North Mustangs to 13 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pontiac for a Oakland - Gold test on Friday, September 20. Avondale will meet a Phoenix squad coming off a 41-6 league loss to Berkley (Berkley, MI). The Phoenix record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, Lutheran North drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Loyola (Detroit, MI) to meet the Bull Dogs in a Catholic - Intersectional 1 test on Friday, September 20. The Bull Dogs come into the test with a record of 2-1. Loyola lost 42-18 in their recent non-league test against Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills, MI)
