Pennsylvania High School Football - Bangor thwarted by Pottsville

Pottsville Crimson Tide (Pottsville, PA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Bangor Slaters (Bangor, PA), 38-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Pottsville improves its record to 2-2 on the season. The Crimson Tide host Southern Lehigh (Center Valley, PA) to play the Spartans in a Colonial-Schuylkill - A battle on Friday, September 20. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 3-1. Southern Lehigh won 36-14 in their recent league battle against North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA)

The Slaters now have a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Blue Mountain for a Colonial-Schuylkill - A battle on Friday, September 20. Bangor will play a Eagles team coming off a 30-8 league loss to Northwestern Lehigh (New Tripoli, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-1.
