In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Davis County Mustangs football squad scored a decisive 69-6 triumph over the Cardinal Comets.
The Mustangs (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Central Lee (Donnellson, IA). The Hawks come into the 2A District 5 match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Central Lee routed Durant (Durant, IA), 21-7, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Comets confront the Sigourney-Keota Cobras (Sigourney, IA) in a 1A District 6 match, on Friday, September 20. Cardinal will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Cobras come into the match with a 2-1 record after their 21-14 non-league win over Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA).
