The Riverhead Blue Waves edged the host Central Islip Musketeers football team by a score of 19-14 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Blue Waves face the Commack Cougars (Commack, NY) in a Section 11 Division I challenge, on Saturday, September 21. Riverhead will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 37-26 league loss to Sachem East (Farmingville, NY).
The Musketeers (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Patchogue-Medford (Medford, NY). The Raiders enter the Section 11 Division I challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Patchogue-Medford was edged by Connetquot (Bohemia, NY), 41-0, in a league challenge.
