The Dighton Hornets edged the host Decatur Community Red Devils football team by a score of 44-40 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets face the Quinter Bulldogs (Quinter, KS) in a Northwest Kansas (8 Man) challenge, on Friday, September 20. Dighton will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 48-0 league loss to Wallace County (Sharon Springs, KS).

The Red Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Wallace County (Sharon Springs, KS). The Wildcats enter the Northwest Kansas (8 Man) challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Wallace County held off Quinter (Quinter, KS), 48-0, in a league challenge.
