The Frederick Cadets football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Westminster Owls to 20 in the Cadets non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cadets now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oakdale for a Central Maryland test on Friday, September 20. Frederick will meet a squad coming off a 29-6 non-league win over Allegany (Cumberland, MD). The record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Westminster drops to 0-2 on the season. The Owls host South Carroll (Sykesville, MD) to encounter the Cavaliers in a Carroll County battle on Friday, September 20. The Cavaliers go into the battle with a record of 1-1. South Carroll lost 42-3 in their recent non-league battle against Linganore (Frederick, MD)
