The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Wellborn Panthers (Anniston, AL) and the visiting Glencoe Yellowjackets (Glencoe, AL), witnessed Wellborn's football squad knock off Glencoe by a tally of 28-9.

The Panthers (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Saks (Anniston, AL). The Wildcats enter the 3A Region 6 contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Saks gained a win over Weaver (Weaver, AL), 26-20, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets battle the Hokes Bluff Eagles (Hokes Bluff, AL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 27. Glencoe will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record.
