New Mexico High School Football - Santa Teresa overwhelmed by Goddard

The Goddard Rockets walloped the visiting Santa Teresa Desert Warriors football team by a score of 42-6 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Rockets face the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a 5A District 2 challenge, on Friday, September 20. Goddard will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 35-21 league win over Roswell (Roswell, NM).
The Desert Warriors (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM). The Trojans enter the 5A District 2 challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Mayfield was ripped by Gadsden (Anthony, NM), 28-20, in a league challenge.
