South Carolina High School Football - Greenwood tops Lexington

September 13, 2024: Lexington, SC 29072

The Greenwood Eagles football squad scored 14 points and limited the host Lexington Wildcats to 0 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host T.L. Hanna for a AAAAA Region 1 test on Friday, September 20. Greenwood will meet a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 36-29 non-league win over Wren (Piedmont, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Lexington drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Laurens (Laurens, SC) to meet the Raiders in a non-league test on Friday, September 27. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 0-4. Laurens lost 20-17 in their recent non-league test against A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC)
