The Haynesville Golden Tornado football squad scored 58 points and limited the host Harmony Grove Hornets to 24 in the Golden Tornado non-league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Tornado now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Homer for a non-league test on Friday, September 20. Haynesville will meet a Pelicans squad coming off a 39-20 non-league loss to Minden (Minden, LA). The Pelicans record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Harmony Grove drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Smackover (Smackover, AR) to meet the Buckaroos in a 3A Region 7 test on Friday, September 27. The Buckaroos come into the test with a record of 2-1. Smackover lost 17-15 in their recent non-league test against Junction City (Junction City, AR)
