Texas High School Football - Hendrickson nips Hays

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Hendrickson Hawks (Pflugerville, TX) and the host Hays Hawks (Buda, TX), witnessed Hendrickson's football squad edge Hays by a tally of 14-13.

The Hawks (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lockhart (Lockhart, TX). The Lions enter the 5A-1 Region III District 12 contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Lockhart got by Lehman (Kyle, TX), 52-7, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Hawks battle the Cedar Creek Eagles (Cedar Creek, TX) in a 5A-1 Region III District 12 contest, on Friday, September 20. Hays will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 42-29 non-league loss to Akins (Austin, TX).
