Maine High School Football - Messalonskee nudges Hermon

September 13, 2024: Hermon, ME 04401

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME) and the host Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME), witnessed Messalonskee's football squad edge Hermon by a count of 35-34.

The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Edward Little (Auburn, ME). The Red Eddies enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Edward Little was nudged by Noble (North Berwick, ME), 43-8, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Hawks confront the Hampden Broncos (Hampden, ME) in a C North contest, on Friday, September 20. Hermon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Broncos enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 24-14 non-league win over John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME).
