The Kemper County Wildcats football squad scored 49 points and limited the visiting Newton Tigers to 6 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Quitman for a non-league test on Friday, September 20. Kemper County will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 27-20 non-league win over Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Newton drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Heidelberg (Heidelberg, MS) to meet the Oilers in a non-league test on Friday, September 20. The Oilers come into the test with a record of 2-1. Heidelberg lost 16-8 in their recent non-league test against Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS)
