Pennsylvania High School Football - Shady Side Academy thwarted by Ligonier Valley

Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA), 40-28 in a league battle.

With the win, Ligonier Valley advances its record to 2-2 on the season. The Rams travel to Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA) to play the Vikings in a WPIAL AA Allegheny battle on Saturday, September 14. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 0-3. Apollo Ridge lost 28-21 in their recent non-league battle against Greensburg Central Catholic (Greensburg, PA)

The Bulldogs now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Apollo Ridge for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 21.
