In Friday's non-league match, the host Northeast Rebels football squad scored a close 39-33 triumph over the Maquoketa Cardinals.
The Rebels (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Camanche (Camanche, IA). The Indians come into the 2A District 4 match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Camanche was nudged by Wilton (Wilton, IA), 38-10, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Cardinals confront the Marion Wolves (Marion, IA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 20. Maquoketa will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wolves come into the match with a 0-3 record after their 24-21 non-league loss to Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA).
