Pennsylvania High School Football - Minersville edged by Williams Valley

In Friday's league test, the Williams Valley Vikings (Tower City, PA) football squad held off the visiting Minersville Battlin' Miners (Minersville, PA), by a count of 42-36.

The Vikings now hold a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Tri-Valley for a Colonial-Schuylkill - C test on Friday, September 20. Williams Valley will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 34-13 league loss to Nativity BVM (Pottsville, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, Minersville drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Battlin' miners host Schuylkill Haven (Schuylkill Haven, PA) to meet the Hurricanes in a Colonial-Schuylkill - C test on Thursday, September 19. The Hurricanes come into the test with a record of 3-1. Schuylkill Haven won 59-8 in their recent league test against Mahanoy Area (Mahanoy City, PA)
