Newman Fighting Cardinals (Wausau, WI) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Niagara Badgers (Niagara, WI), 30-12 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Newman advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Fighting Cardinals host Marion/Tigerton (Marion, WI) to play the Mustangs in a Mideast (8 Man) battle on Saturday, September 21. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 4-0. Marion/Tigerton won 43-0 in their recent league battle against Menominee Indian (Keshena, WI)

The Badgers now own a 1-3 record.
