Vance County Vipers (Henderson, NC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Northern Durham Knights (Durham, NC), 28-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Vance County advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Vipers travel to Southern School of Energy and Sustainability (Durham, NC) to play the Spartans in a 2A/3A Northern Lakes battle on Friday, September 20. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 3-1. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability won 26-24 in their recent non-league battle against Wake Forest (Wake Forest, NC)

The Knights now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Triangle Math & Science for a non-league battle on Friday, September 20. Northern Durham will play a Tigers team coming off a 70-0 non-league loss to Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.
