The Watseka Warriors football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Oakwood Comets to 20 in the Warriors league triumph on Friday.

The Warriors now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Salt Fork for a Vermilion Valley test on Friday, September 20. Watseka will meet a Storm squad coming off a 45-13 league win over Iroquois West (Gilman, IL). The Storm record now stands at 4-0.

With the defeat, Oakwood drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Comets host Clifton Central (Clifton, IL) to meet the Comets in a Vermilion Valley test on Thursday, September 19. The Comets come into the test with a record of 1-2. Clifton Central won 64-20 in their recent league test against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman (Georgetown, IL)
