The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Byng Pirates (Ada, OK) and the visiting Marlow Outlaws (Marlow, OK), observed Byng's softball team get by Marlow by a tally of 14-8.

The Pirates (12-8) will now prepare for their bout against Guthrie (Guthrie, OK). The Bluejays go into the non-league bout with a 17-3 record. In their last bout, Guthrie tipped Elgin (Elgin, OK), 6-5, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Outlaws clash with the Noble Bears (Noble, OK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 13. Marlow will attempt to advance on its 7-18 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 13-13 record after their 6-2 non-league win over El Reno (El Reno, OK).
